6 - Intoxicated
It's certainly a great idea to have one or two drinks with trustworthy Gabor...
Gabor slowly shows his abilities which will lead to a flashback to Keiths past and trauma. I hope the cover and small hints already show that Gabor isn't human. I assume everyone who finds their way to this story may already know it anyway.
Of course Keith is reckless for telling Gab everything, and he does struggle with it, but he's also drunk and sometimes you just have to get things out of your system. Since Gab's abilities work through physical contact, he already saw most of Keith's story when they shook hands the first time. So it's really kind of him to do it "officially" again and ask for Keiths permission. XD
What you see in the film reels here is more or less the complete past scene from the previous version. I'll rework it for this version though.

So, ich habs endlich geschafft einen Kommentar zu verfassen ^^; Hab die Pages schon länger gesehen und auf mich wirken lassen - die Layoutierung und Aufteilung finde ich echt gelungen, vor allem wie in den meisten Panels wo nur Gab zu sehen ist der Fokus auf seine Augen liegt und seine Panels auch meisten dünkler gehalten sind. Da merkt man schon richtig durch die Bildsprache, dass Gabor hier nur den Psychologen quasi spielt um Keith Informationen zu entlocken, mit denen er ihn manipulieren kann (und auch daran, wie er Keith abfüllt, lol). Dass der Dialog zwischen den beiden jetzt viel ausführlicher ist hilft der Dynamik der beiden ungemein - man merkt jetzt schon, dass obwohl gab eigentlich nur Keith um den Finger wickeln will, er trotz allem extrem freundlich zu ihm ist und ihn respektvoll behandelt. Also eine gewisse Sympathie ist schon bei den beiden vorhanden und Keith scheint auch an Gab interessiert zu sein. Gab wirkt auf Keith wohl wie ein „Freak“, aber das ist ja genau sein Typ - wilde Exoten und Leute, die nicht „gewöhnlich“ sind, deswegen war keith ja auch mit Kaz - einem Sänger und Superstar, der über den gewöhnlichen Menschen steht - zusammen.
Oh, interessant, dass der ursprüngliche Prolog der vorigen Versionen jetzt eine Rückblende ist, die tatsächlich eine Erinnerung ist. Finde ich erzähltechnisch sehr gut gelöst und so sieht man auch gleich, dass Gab tatsächlich übermenschliche Fähigkeiten besitzt (ein erster Geschmack auf das, was folgt).

Omg, Gab is not beating around the bush! And Keith's outrage is so cute here! But then he decides to share his burden, and it's interesting to see Gab's softened expression for a moment there after he sees the scarring.
Why wasn't I expecting supernatural?
I have no idea. Perhaps because you do such a great job with the realistic setup.
But still, I like that a lot!
